Who wants to see some movies? Or specifically, MY movie?

Hey Vancouverites!

My short film, "Because You Demanded It!" will be shown at The Ridge Theatre on April 27th, at 7:30 pm along with all my classmates' wonderful, wonderful films.

Here's the deal, though. This is the first time we've been in the Ridge (800+ seats!) and our profs don't think we can sell it out. We REALLY want to prove them wrong. So please, come on out! Bring your friends/family/neighbors/co-workers and enjoy a great night of 13 short films... one of which, *cough*mine*cough* includes art by the amazing glockgaland cameos by the beautiful glockgal, stubbleglitter, and silvrsolace.

Tickets are available at the Ridge, or through the SFU Box Office (604-291-3514), and are $8 each. Or I can pick some up for you. I have access to 20 tickets at $5 each, so if you get back to me REALLY fast, I can save you $3 a ticket!

Please come! There will be a catered after-party!

ART CONTEST!!

Hey you artistic types:

I am looking for a logo for my production company, April Fool Productions, to put at the beginning of my soon-to-be-completed short film.

PRIZE: I can't offer much in the way of prizes, but you will get your name in the credits of my film, and the winning logo will be shown to (hopefully) 800 people at the class screening on April 27th, as well as (hopefully) screenings at film festivals around the world. If you happen to be in the area of any of these screenings, I will make sure you get two comp tickets to the film by way of thanks.

SPECIFICS: My production company is called April Fool Productions because I was born on April Fool's Day. My friend Dave thinks my logo should be a jester's hat. My mom thinks my logo should be a birthday cake. What do you think? I need an image(or animation, for those of you who are over-achievers) to go before my film begins... think of the Disney castle, or the Pixar lamp, or the Bruckheimer tree and lightning, or the Dreamworks moon, or the green Lucasfilm logo... that sort of thing. It can be just words (fun with fonts!) or word and image, or even animation, as long as I can slap it into Final Cut Pro eventually. Just come up with something cool that embodies "April Fool Productions". :)

DEADLINE: April 20th, so I have time to pick my favorite and stick it into my movie. :) Judging will be done by myself and a panel of (possibly crazy) film students. :D
