I picked words that I think describe me, now you pick words that you think describe me and I get to see how crazily off my self-perception is. :D

Woot! It's that time again... that time when I don't get any sleep for 16 days because I am glued to the TV 24-7 watching any sport they offer me. Oh, the Olympics, how I adore you.

Alas, I have to work tonight, so I will miss the fashion show opening ceremonies. I love seeing what everyone wears. Mongolia usually rocks it every year. I love anyone who shows up in traditional costumes. But for those nations who don't really have traditional costumes as such, I really enjoy browsing for my favorite piece to pick up at Roots in a month or so, once it all goes on sale. However, in a shocking move, Hudson Bay has picked up the Canadian Olympic apparel until 2012!! I do like the multi color scarf, and the shearling hat is kinda awesome, but I find the rest of the collection a little blah. Sharp looking, but blah. Not a Hudson Bay blanket coat to be seen!!

So, on to perennial favorites, Roots. Alas Roots USA seems to have dipped into some fugly 80's retro. The hoodie appears salvagable, perhaps.

It appears Roots has also lost the Jamacan (no boblsled ensembles??) and British Olympic Outfitter nods as well, because I can't find their collections on the website.

I just have to set up my VCR to start taping at 8:00, and then I'll watch it when I get home from work at 1 am... then I'll be able to give you the full runway parade lowdown. :D

So, I have seriously been jonesing for scones ever since I got back to the States, because they're just harder to find here. And if you do find any, they're bland and/or dry.

However! Just the other day, I discovered some mini scones at WalMart of all places and decided to give them a try. I got cranberry orange and lemon poppyseed. Seriously, they are the best scones I have ever had, they're moist and flavorful and looooooovely and I've had about 14 gallons of tea in the past few days to justify eating so many.

So I went into WalMart today to get more and they've discontinued them!!! ACK!! What am I to do!?! Either it was a one time thing, or I was the only person to buy any or something. I do know the supplier is in Canada (of course) but that's all I know about them. I think I will have to write to WalMart and demand a lifetime supply of scones for my mental anguish.
