Shoddy Canadian Mail Server Technology...
Nov. 1st, 2007 02:28 pmSo I've been having problems with my e-mail all day and now it's suddenly offline. I can send, but not receive, which means the problem is at SFU. So I go to the SFU webpage and what do I see?? My e-mail will be down ALL DAY! Um, wow, that's kind of a huge problem considering I do almost all of my communication about potential jobs through that account. Thanks a lot SFU.
Aaaanyway. If you need to get a hold of me today, your best bet is my gmail account. Hopefully, my SFU account will be back tomorrow. My LJ notifications come through the SFU account too, but I'll try and keep my eye on the LJ messages to make sure I don't miss anything.

I know some people are ripping Stephen Colbert for his presidential run in South Carolina, saying it'll only lead to wasted votes. (And it appears he won't be on the ballot now, anyway. Boo.) But I'm finding it to be very valuable. He's teaching his audience about electoral laws and campaign finance reforms and I'm finding it enlightening and fascinating. Especially the varying costs associated with just getting on the ballot! The Dems charge $2500 and the GOP charges $35,000? Hello, arbitrary numbers. Anyway, would I vote for him? I don't know. But does this stunt have value? Definitely.
