More Donors Choose Blogging...
Nov. 9th, 2007 01:30 pmBecause I participated in the DonorsChoose.org blogger challenge and threw $30 of SixApart's money to a school in Virginia (although originally it went to a school in Texas, and I'm still upset for those poor AP nerds) DonorsChoose just gave me another gift certificate - this one worth $100!! Whee!
So I went through and looked through all the high school science projects, but I could find none as nerdy as those Virginia overachievers and gave them the $100. Alas, I see I am the only one who has donated to my poor little adopted nerdlings. I hope suddenly being 23% funded gets them a little more attention.
The nice thing is that now that I have donated $130 (of someone else's money) not only do I get just a little generic thank-you e-mail from the teacher, but I'll get a package of photos and letters from the class. Whee! Stuff in the mail! (That is, if I ever manage to choose a project that gets full funding...)
