NBC is trying to kill me!
Aug. 9th, 2008 07:39 pmIf not for TIVO I wouldn't get to sleep again until the 24th. Look, NBC, I am SUPER STOKED about all the extra coverage you guys are giving me, BUT I HAVE TO SLEEP SOMETIME.
I went to bed at midnight last night and TIVO'd the events on MSNBC and USA. Woke up at 7 and speed watched what I had taped until the NBC coverage started at 10 am. Fortunately I find Boxing, Handball, Dressage and Basketball eminently skippable, which enabled me to watch Women's Weightlifting, Women's Saber, and Women's soccer at mostly normal speed. NBCs coverage went from 10 am to 6 pm. I was able to scurry back and forth to the gym during some preliminary beach volleyball matches and didn't miss anything too important (Like the road race, which I would have enjoyed more coverage of). I'm watching NBC in the kitchen and during commercials and sports that are not as exciting, I am reviewing the simultaneous coverage on MSNBC and USA and CNBC being recorded on my TIVO.
...Yes, I require at least two TVs for my Olympics viewing.
I had two hours of OMG NO SPORTS from 6 to 8pm to do chores and shower and then coverage will begin again on NBC and go until 11pm. I'm trying to decide if I should watch the US Men's Soccer game live, or watch it in the morning. I think I'll have to go to the gym first thing in the morning because NBC coverage (which I cannot TIVO because I don't get it through my satellite) runs from 10 am to 11pm with only a ONE HOUR BREAK at 6 pm.
HOLY CRAP, I SHOULD GET A MEDAL FOR WATCHING ALL OF THIS.
