I picked up the "2008 Novel & Short Story Writer's Market" from the library today to look up contests and magazines to submit my short story to. If anyone would like me to look up information from it for them, just let me know and I'll do my best to pass it on. The book covers Canadian and international markets as well as the States.
In addition, should anyone have any suggestions/advice/stories about submitting short stories to magazines or contests, I would love to learn from your experiences. There's one contest here that sounds like a good fit, but also sounds like they may try to recruit me for Scientology at the same time-- Not sure if it's worth it.
