Fitness progress
Jul. 9th, 2009 10:10 am The last time I had a body composition test was a year and a half ago. You're supposed to get them every 2 months, but I really felt like I'd let myself go and didn't think it would be helpful to know exactly how much being on film sets without the ability to exercise had cost me. But the last two weeks I've really been hitting the gym pretty well, and I'm still down at 155, so I got another test done. And yes, I'd lost over 4 pounds of muscle since then (because at that point I think I'd been working out every day for about 6 months straight), but I'd also lost 7 pounds since that weigh-in and another percentage of body fat leaving me at 22%. Which is extremely good. Professional female athletes range between 14-20%, so for me to get to 22 only going to the gym two hours a day-- I'm pretty psyched about that. The interesting thing is that the distribution changed in the year and a half. I gained fat in my middle and lost it in my chest and legs.
I was worried that I wouldn't stay at 155 because I got there so fast, but I'm still here after a week of eating like a sane person, so I'm pretty happy about that.
